Mr. May was a native of Washington County, the son of the late W. Edison May and the late Annie Lou Parker May. He was retired as plant superintendent for ECC International after 39 years of service. Mr. May was a member of Sister Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, and a member of the Church Brotherhood and the Bill Wiles Sunday School Class. He was an Army Veteran of WWII.
Survivors are his wife, Faye A. May of Sandersville; children, Steve A. May and Bill "Beaver" May both of Sandersville, Susan M. Andrews of Tennille; grandchildren, Jeremy Andrews, Brent Andrews, Robbie May, Julie May, Katie May and Greg May; two great grandchildren, Lillie Tate Andrews and Wynne Andrews; brothers, James May of Sandersville, Hugh May of Fort Walton, Fla.; sisters, Genie Nunn of Sandersville, Priscilla Jones of Aiken, S.C., and Betty Key of McDonough.
