ROSEVILLE - William Carlos Adams, 81, Rocky Mountain, Mo., formerly of Roseville, died at 5:15 a.m. Friday (Jan. 1, 1999) in Lake of the Ozarks Hospital, Osage Beach, Mo.
He was born Oct. 25, 1917, in Brassfield, Ky., the son of Morris and Lucy Mae Golden Adams.
He married Marguerite Adair on Aug. 11, 1940, in Kirkwood. She died Dec. 26, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Carlson, Eldon, Mo., and Carol Kerr, Topeka, Kan.; two brothers, Pete Adams, Peoria, and Robert Adams, Oquawka; nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; by one son, William Adams, and by one brother.
He moved to Roseville after serving in the Navy in World War II. He moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 1975.
He was a project manager for several electrical contractors.
He was a member of Roseville American Legion Post 614, Monmouth American Legion Post 614, Monmouth American Legion Post 4018, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union local in Peoria.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Corman Memorial Home, Roseville. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roseville Memorial Park Cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 614.
