Almeta B. Hibshman

Almeta B. Hibshman, 88, of Ephrata, died at her residence in Ephrata on Sunday, June 4, 2006. She was born in Hinkletown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Graybill and Katie (Burkholder) Lausch. She was the wife of the late Ivan B. Hibshman, who preceded her in death in 1983.
She was a member of Blue Ball Church of the Brethren and was a member of the church's sewing circle and was very faithful to her God-given duties on Earth. She was a former Sunday School teacher who always enjoyed bringing friends to church and enjoyed sending greeting cards and cooking for her family and friends.
She was a homemaker who worked briefly at Hopeland Manufacturing.
Surviving are her children, Donald, husband of Eleanor (Musser) Hibshman of Narvon, Victor, husband of Ruth (Brendle) Hibshman of Ephrata, Gerald Hibshman of Ephrata, Ivan L., husband of Jolene (Cox) Hibshman of Denver, Judy, wife of Aaron I. Weaver of Ephrata, and Sylvia L. Wanner of Brownstown; brother, Paul Lausch of Ephrata; 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters and a grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on June 7 at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, with Pastor C. B. Horst officiating. Interment will follow in the Middle Creek Brethren Cemetery.
