Donald Lee Hibshman, 78, of Narvon, PA, passed away on April 26, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born at home at Academy Hill, Ephrata Township on July 9, 1936 to the late Ivan Hibshman and Almeta (Lausch) Hibshman. Donald spent his childhood in the Ephrata area.
Donald retired from Case New Holland (formerly New Holland Machine Company) with 39 years in the Manufacturing Plant. Donald's father Ivan, his brother Gerald, and his son, David worked at the same facility. Donald also worked at Yoder's Market in New Holland and at Shady Maple in Blue Ball.
He attended the Berean Bible Church in Ephrata.
Donald's greatest joy was the love of his family and spending time with them. He was always available to help where needed. He could fix anything. He set a great example for his family with his strong work ethic and his faith. His community was important and he helped friends and neighbors. He worked hard and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed the outdoors and working around his home and yard.
A viewing will be held at the Berean Bible Church, 675 Lincoln Gardens Road, Ephrata, PA 17522 on Saturday, May 2, from 10-11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kelly Sensenig officiating. Donald's interment will be at Middle Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 351 West Middle Creek Road, Lititz, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Berean Bible Church, to honor Donald's life, at 675 Lincoln Gardens Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
