MARTIN, LA - Funeral services for Louis Edward Bamburg, 97, of Martin, LA will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, October 8, 2010 at Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harry Bamburg officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

He was born January 8, 1913 in Coushatta, LA and passed away October 5, 2010.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Lily Bamburg; son, Louis Edward Bamburg, Jr.; granddaughter, Becky; and daughter-in-law, Linda Bamburg.

Mr. Bamburg is survived by his wife of 73 years, Ruby Cannon Bamburg; son, Ruben "R.L." Bamburg and wife, Jo of Shreveport, LA; daughter-in-law, Pat Kitchings and husband, Jerry of Martin, LA; grandchildren, Vicky Robinette and husband, Chris of Castor, LA, Tim Bamburg and wife, Patricia of Martin, LA, David Allen Bamburg and wife, Marney of Rapid City, SD, Dana Tisdale and husband, Randy of Wichita Falls, TX; brother, Jerry Ray Bamburg and wife, Vera of Shreveport, LA; sister, Louise Cannon of Martin, LA; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and another one due next month. Louis was 1 of 13 siblings, 2 of which remain.
