Cindy Renee Towry Brooks, 44 , of Edmond, OK, was born on July 20, 1966 in Oklahoma City, and was called home to her Heavenly Father on September 30, 2010. Cindy loved to live life to the fullest; she made friends with everyone she met. She had hundreds of close friends here and around the world. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Cindy was an accomplished scuba diver, little league baseball commissioner and mom; she loved having fun with her friends and family, traveling and OU Football. She always made sure that everyone around her was having a good time no matter where she was at. Cindy had a gift for winning people over, and never met a stranger. Those that knew her loved her; her smile and laughter could light up a room. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. One of her greatest accomplishments was being an Organ Donor; through this unselfish act, she was able to extend the lives of three people in Oklahoma while losing hers. Cindy is survived by her husband, Gene Brooks; her two sons, Dru and Dillon Brooks; her parents, Jim & Kathy Towry of Edmond; brother, Jimmy Towry & wife Diane of Midwest City; brother, James Jones & wife Marla of AK; sister, Teri & husband Hank of CO; daughter-in-law, Molly Doss; her two grandsons, Jakob and Bo Brooks; extended family and countless friends. A viewing will be held at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly Ave., Edmond, from 3pm to 9pm on Sunday, October 3, 2010, and from 8am to 9pm on Monday, October 4, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at Spring Creek Assembly of God Church, 1600 SE 15th St., Edmond at 2:00pm, October 5, 2010, and graveside service immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N. Kelly Ave., Edmond. Services under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home Edmond, OK.
