BOYLSTON WHITNEY SERVICES ON FRIDAY
Boylston Whitney, 78, died suddenlyTuesday morning at his home in Clarinda. A lifelong resident of Page County, he was a trucker and farmer before his retirement. His death came exactly three years to the day after his brother, Tom, former Yorktown mayor.
He is survived by hs wife, Alta Beavers, daughter, Mrs. Howard (Mary) Hanson of Villisca and Mrs. Max (Louise) Jackson of Boulder, Colorado, brothers, Brady of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Alvia of Medical Lake, Washington, and sisters, Mrs. Elmer Baymer of New Market and Mrs. Wade Crawford of Clarinda, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Walker Funeral Home by the Rev. John Berbose. Miss Aletha Hutchigs and H. E. Richardson will provide the music.
Pall bearers are Charles Iddings, Kenneth Laverty, Oliver Krouch, Carl Stephens, Lyle Pitman, and Paul Greenfield.
He was employed at Lisle Corps for many years.
