William H. Davis Dies Here Sunday

William Harrison Davis, 78, of 622 S. Yale, died Sunday afternoon in a local care home. A former salesman for Barteldes Seed Co., Lawrence, Kan., he was born April 18, 1880, in Knoxville, Tenn.

Mr. Davis came to Wichita from McPherson, Kan., in 1952. He was a member of Modern Woodmen Lodge and Sunnyside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a son, Pascal N., Renton, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Bontreger, 1010 N. Georgie, and Mrs. Clara Bowers, Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Stephens, 1922 Bayley, and Mrs. Nannie Bailey, Friendville, Tenn., and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be announced by DeVorss-Gard Mortuary.

DAVIS -- William Harrison, aged 78, of 622 S. Yale, passed away Sunday April 6th. Funeral services will be held at the DeVorss-Gard Chapel, 201 S. Hydraulic at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 9th. The Rev. R. L. Moreland, Sunnyside Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Wichita Park Cemetery. Parking for friends south of the mortuary. A DeVorss-Gard service.
