Bonnie Whiting Rogers, 66, passed into Eternal Life Sept. 29, 2010, in Springerville. She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Winslow to Eben Holden Whiting and Lois Pearl Poteet Whiting.

Bonnie was a rancher. She was willing to serve in any capacity. She served on the Round Valley School Board, White Mountain Regional Medical Center Board, Round Valley Water Board and many other committees that improved and enriched the Round Valley communities. Bonnie served in many capacities for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She announced and ran countless rodeo events since the age of 12. She never missed an opportunity to cheer at a sports game that her grandchildren were competing in. Her passion for the ranch was only eclipsed by her love for her family.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Merrilea (Richard) McBride of Eagar; Desarae Rogers of St. Johns; Brittany (Eric) McNeil of Springerville; sister Gwen Carol Whiting of Eagar; brother Jeff Holden Whiting, Queen Creek; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Marlen Rogers who died February 11, 1991 and her parents.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 4, at the Springerville Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Springerville. Interment followed the Services at the Springerville Cemetery.

Burnham Mortuary of Eagar handled arrangements.
