A native of Fort Mill , SC, she had resided in Haywood County most of her life and was the daughter of the late Jethro Callaway and Elizabeth Mae Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Pressley, who died in 1970; a sister, Gwendolyn Gabby; two brothers, Lane M. and Charles Smith; a son, James Howard Pressley, Jr.; and a grandson, David Adam Pressley. She was a member of member of Canton Wesleyan Church.
