Dr. Daniel Don Philips, 65, retired Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., dentist and a brother of the late Shine Philips, died yesterday. Dr. Philips, a native of Big Spring, attended public school here and was graduated from Vanderbilt in Nashville in 1926 with a DDS.
He practiced in Mt. Pleasant until retirement in 1966. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Scottish Rites Masons, Shriners and a fellow in the International College of Dentists.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Melba Swain Philips; and a sister, Mrs. Bonnie Boswell, El Paso. Interment will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
