He was born October 1, 1942 in Pike County, Ohio, a son of the late Fred and Ruth Dixon Jordan.
He was a 1964 graduate of Waverly High School, served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era, was a farmer, and was retired from USEC in Piketon, Ohio with thirty years of service.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, four grandchildren, one brother, all of Waverly, three sisters, several nieces, nephews, friends, one aunt, and his faithful companion Sarge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one uncle, two brothers in law, and one sister in law.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly.
Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery on Denver Road with military rites by Merritt Post #142, American Legion, of Waverly.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
