Richard E. "Dick" Raymond, age 75 of Sheboygan passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Dick was born on June 5, 1935, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a son of the late David and Neva (Ruckle) Raymond. He graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1953.
On September 1, 1956, he was united in marriage to Sallie Schmidt in Sheboygan.
As a carpenter he served a four year apprenticeship and worked for various contractors prior to starting his own business in 1976. He built many homes throughout Sheboygan County and retired at Christmas in 1998. In retirement he and Sallie spent their winters in Florida. Dick enjoyed many sports including bowling, playing softball and golf. He was an avid Packer and Badgers fan. Camping and fishing in Wisconsin were also a favorite of his.
Dick was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
Dick is survived by a family that was very important to him, his wife, Sallie; three children, Kurt (Julie) Raymond of Waukesha, Keith (Tami) Raymond of Lanoka Harbor, NJ and Kari (David) Pamperin of Concorde, NC; four grandchildren, Eric, Taylor, Josh and Caleb; and three sisters, Mary Jane (William) Hertzberg of Florida, Barbara Abel of Wisconsin and Susan (Allan) Jurss of Sheboygan. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends further survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
A private family memorial service will be held at the Novak-Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with Rev. Helen Nickel officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
