Eva Jane McGee Barlowe, 90, died Saturday, March 2, 1996 in Marion, McDowell County, NC. She was born December 16, 1905 in McDowell County, NC to the late Samuel A. and Lura Alice Denny McGee.
She was a charter member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, and faithfully attended church services until she was no longer physically able.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Vernie Rudolph Barlowe.
She was survived by three daughters, Anna Lee Lawing, Florence Mitchell and Mamie Reel; two sons, Clinton Barlowe and Cecil Barlowe; two sisters, Bess Ollis and Essie Ollis; two brothers, Sam McGee and Elgie McGee; eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 4, 1996, 2:00 PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Marion, NC. Reverends Tom Walker and Leo Kuykendall officiated.
Interment was at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
