H. Clay Anderson, 90, of Route 1, Rockport, died early Sunday morning at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Jackson County, a son of the late Jeff and Leona Burrows Anderson.

He survived by four sons, the Rev. William J. Anderson of Rockport, W.Va., Davis L. Anderson of Vienna, Carroll F. Anderson of Richfield, Ohio, Theodore J. Anderson of S.C.; one daughter Dolores Clegg of Pettyville; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; two brothers Dewey Anderson of Vienna and Hugh Anderson of Belleville; and one sister, Nellie Miner of Barberton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife Esther Mae Rader Anderson, in 1985; one son; one daughter; two grandchildren; two brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Amos McVey Jr. and the Rev. Charles Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Liverpool Cemetery, Jackson County.
