Mrs. Robert L Grimes Dies
Services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. C L Rhodes at Wesley Chapel for Mr. Robert Lee Grimes. Mr. Grimes has been in bad health for the past two years. He was born March 4, 1870 on the place where he has lived all of his life.
In 1901, Mr. Grimes was married to Miss Sallie Ann Johnson and to this union were born two sons, one of which went to the grave with his mother in 1904. In the later years of his life Mr. Grimes has made his home with the other one of his sons up until his death on September 19, 1942.
Mr. Grimes is survived by one son, Perry Lee, three grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary McLaughin.
Mr. Grimes was buried in the Wesley Chapel cemetery. The pallbearers were, Floyd Naron, Clarence Griffin, H L Burgess, Jess Warnick, Jimmie Roberson and Allen Wooldridge.
