Mr. Cornwell was preceded by his parents; two brothers, Carroll Dean Cornwell and Kenneth Cornwell; and one sister, Genieve Goodman.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lawanda (Mullins) Cornwell; two sons, Ronnie Cornwell of Diaz, and Earl Cornwell and wife, Mona, of Newport; one daughter, Palma Harris and husband, Lonnie, of Conway; four brothers, W. L. Cornwell of Brookland, Buddy Cornwell of Mountain Home, Jerry Cornwell of Brookland, and David Cornwell of Marked Tree; two sisters, Bernice Cagle of Marked Tree, and Marie Webster of Jacksonville; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Albert Mullins and Bro. Earl Stoner officiating. Interment will be in Memory Garden Cemetery at Johnstown. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, 2006 from 6-9 p.m.
