POMPE, Rose M., 89, of Weirton, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, in Serra Manor.
She was born March 31, 1921, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Dominic and Edith D'Aurora Bonaventura.
Rose is also preceded in death by her husband, John Pompe, three brothers, Mario, Panfilio and Clarence Bonaventura and one sister, Olga Sbrochi.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda (Jim) Cladias and Joanne Jones both of Weirton; three brothers, Angelo (Eleanor) Bonaventure, Alfred (Theresa) Bonaventura and Rudy Bonaventura all of Steubenville; one sister, Virginia Yuricic of Wintersville; two grandchildren, Jamie (Logan) Cyrus of Charlotte and Brett Jones of Weirton.
Rose was a waitress for 50 years at several Ohio valley restaurants, retired after 15 years of service from the Weirton Kroger's in 2009 and was a Catholic.
Calling hours are Friday 3-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville, where services will be held 12 Noon Saturday, Fr. Tom Nau, officiant. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
