Don Cleveland Church, 51, of Wytheville, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Duffield, following an extended illness.
Born in Buchanan County, he was the son of the late Clevelan and Mary Katherine Smith Church. He was a disabled factory worker and attended Wytheville Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Alisha Church; two daughters, Melissa Sue Ann Turner, of Wytheville and Tina Sue Hagy of Danbury, CT; two sisters, Kathy Osborne of Vansant and Ellen and husband, Roy Howell, of Patterson; two brothers, Lonnie Church of Vansant and Ronnie Lynn and wife, Debbie Church of Big Rock; four grandchildren, Misty Rose Turner, Robert Turner, Jr., Hunter Alderman and Sunshine Alderman.
Memorial services were conducted Sunday, September 26 at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Donn Sunshine and Patricia Skeens officiating. Burial will follow at a later time in Antioch Cemetery near Keen Mountain.
In honoring Mr. Church's wishes, he was cremated.
Grundy Funeral Home of Grundy was in charge of arrangements.
