Evelyn Taylor Rowe, 83, of East Ridge, loving mother and dedicated wife, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 in a local hospital.
She attended Duncan Park Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Danny Bruce Rowe, a grandson, Stewart Rowe, and her parents, Amon and Eva Taylor of Stearns, Ky.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clayton Morris Rowe; one son, Gordon Rowe and his wife, Lois of Cleveland; two grandsons, Nathan Rowe and his wife, Brandi and Kelton Rowe and his wife, Mary; three great-granddaughters, Maddison Rowe, Drew Rowe, and Jill Rowe, all of Ringgold; two sisters, Fayrene Bridges of East Ridge and Maxine Taylor of Danville, Ky., and many friends.
Services for Evelyn will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. W.D. Gustafson officiating. Interment will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
