Mrs. Bracewell was a lifelong resident of Laurens County. She was preceded in death by her father, Homer T. Chalker; her mother and stepfather, Ruby K. Davidson and Ernest Davidson and her son-in-law, Emory H. Smith. She was a lifelong member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She was retired from Rockwell International, was previously employed by J. P. Stevens and was the owner of Ruth's Beauty Shop. She died Friday, June 8, 2007.
Survivors include her husband, Morris Bracewell of Dublin; daughter, Bunny B. Smith of Dublin; son, Morris Terry Bracewell of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Heather Bracewell, Robert and Beth Bracewell, Charles and Michelle Smith, Glenn Smith, Jennifer and Eddie Kramer; five great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby and Joy Davidson; sister, Jackie and Lefty Kight; nieces and nephews, Fred and Shirley Bracewell, Roy and Jean Bracewell, Dorothy and Royce Smith.
Grant Rowe, Bobby Couey, Dwight Smith, Wesley Couey, Ricky Graham and Cleon Couey will serve as pallbearers. The staff of Treutlen County Nursing Home will serve as honorary escort.
