Was Fifty-Two years old and lived in Antigo over twenty years - leaves large family.
Mrs. E.A. Tobey, aged 52 years, died at her home on Watson Street about half past four yesterday afternoon. She had been ill for some time but it was not known until recently that she could not live. She was hopefully to the end, however, and was always cheerful.
Mrs. Tobey was born in Outagamie county, where she was married. The family moved here some twenty years ago and have with the exception of a short time, which was spent on a farm in Waupaca county, lived in this city and county. She was a woman whom it was good to have as a friend. She was ever ready to go out to a neighbor and lend a helping hand and do it cheerfully. Her death removes from the community a good woman and takes from the family a faithful mother. She is survived by her husband and ten children; five boys and five girls, all whom are living here except two daughters, Mrs. Chamberlain, who is living in Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Moss, who lives on a farm in the Town of Norwood, and one son, Ira, who lives in Mattoon.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the residence on Watson Street. Rev. J.E. Sarles will conduct the services.
