Clarence H. Shelton, 51, died Monday night at his home in Falmouth after an illness of several months.

Mr. Shelton was born in Stafford County July 10, 1892, son of the late Raleigh T. Shelton and Mrs. Jane Frances Shelton. He was a farmer in the county until several years ago when he accepted a position with Pitts Amusement Corporation, and moved to Falmouth. He had been a member of the Falmouth Baptist Church for 24 years.

Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula M. Shelton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Payne, of Falmouth; a brother, Wesley L. Shelton, of Stafford County; six sisters, Mrs. Maurice Sullivan and Mrs. Thomas McCarty of Stafford County; Mrs. Harry C. Bates and Mrs. Christine Ellis, of Arlington; Mrs. R. P. Frye and Mrs. Linda Finn, of Tacoma, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Payne in Falmouth Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. P. H. Clements of the Falmouth Baptist Church. Interment will be in the family cemetery, Falmouth.

Pallbearers will be Everett T. Shelton, Dr. H. C. Bates, Jr., Archie J. Gallahan, W. Ashby Hart, Robert S. Hudson, Marion C. Cranford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John E. Cole, Dr. L. A. Busch, Dr. W. P. Hunter, Lewis Hart, Franklin Wyne, Dallas Wyne, Lloyd Jett, Samuel Berry, Jessie Tyson, N. N. Berry, Leonus Pitts, W. H. Young, Sr., Sherman Berry.
