Everette Lee Emerson Jr., 76, of Stanley died on Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Page Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 19, 1931, in Luray and was a son of Hazel LeHew Emerson of Luray and the late Everette Lee Emerson Sr.
Mr. Emerson was a 1959 graduate of Luray High School.
He had been a member of the Luray Volunteer Fire Department since December 1949.
On May 2, 1953, he married the former Deldee J. Durette, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two daughters and wife are two daughters and heir husbands, Sharon L. and Doug Henry of Luray and Cynthia D. and Ron Fravel of Luray. Three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven N. Emerson.
Burial was in the St. Luke Cemetery at Alma.
