Lonnie was born to Loyd and Hazel (Henderson) Allen, April 8, 1930, in Henrietta, Texas. He was a High School graduate and served his Country in the U.S. Air Force retiring after more than 20 years of service as a mechanic. Military service included duty during the Korea and Vietnam conflicts. Lonnie and Patricia June Mumm were married in Magnolia, Arkansas, January 1, 1954. After his retirement from the Air Force he continued to work as a Mechanic for another 29 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia; two daughters, Anita Reid and her husband Steve of Tomball, Texas, and Shari Ward and her husband Mario of San Antonio, Texas: son, David Allen and his wife Sharon (Daugherty) of Burkburnett, Texas; three brothers, B.E. Allen, and Lester Allen, both of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Troy Spikes of Bellevue, Texas; three sisters, Frankie Campbell of Bowie, Texas, Lois Spikes of Fort Worth, Texas, and Joyce Reeves of Quitman, Texas; nine grandchildren, Nancy Reid, Scott Reid, Lee Ann Reid, Sarah Allen, Donna (Allen) Tharpe, Samantha Allen, Rebekah Ward, Patricia Ward, Brad Ward; one great-grandchild, Hayleigh Tharpe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lonnie loved his family and had a great passion for music. He often led the song service at his church, Calvary Baptist in Wichita Falls. Lonnie loved to play the guitar, fiddle, and especially the harmonica. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol (Allen) Nies; and two brothers, Albert and Milburn Allen.
