ALEXANDRIA, Mo. -- Fuller Mortimer, 93, Keokuk, died at 4:05 a.m., today, at Keokuk Convalescent Center. His death followed an illness of several months. He was born Sept. 15, 1881, in Maidstone, Kent, England, the son of the late Thomas Henry and Ellen King Mortimer. He married Ethel Logue April 21, 1909,in Keokuk. She preceded him in death Nov. 6, 1962.

Mr. Mortimer had been a resident of Alexandria and Keokuk since he was 11 months old. He was employed by the Keokuk and Alexandria Cooper shops during their existence. He was a member of Alexandria Presbyterian Church. He raised two grandchildren, Dennis Mortimer, Welmer, Minn.; and Mrs. Doris Wells, Canton, Mo.

He is survived by five sons, Thomas, Gorin, Mo.; Raymond, Wilbert and Murry, all of Keokuk; and Percy, Washington; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Ellen) Bryant, Keokuk; 37 grandchildren; 84 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, James, Alexandria.
Mr. Mortimer was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, four sisters, four half-brothers and 11 grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.,
Wednesday, at DeJong funeral home. The Rev. Virgil V. Reeve will officiate. Burial will be in Buena Vista cemetery.

Immigration: Arrived in New York from Liverpool, England aboard the White Star Lines "SS Celtic" on August 7, 1882. Passengers: Ellen Mortimer, Fuller Mortimer, Annie Mortimer, Emma Mortimer, Arthur Mortimer, Percy Mortimer and Edwin Mortimer.
