We read in the "Christian Guardian" newspaper of 7 Mar 1855:
"Jan. 30th, Bryan Lloyed (sic) & Rachel Scarth, at Dawn Mills, C. W. (Rev. W. Ames)"
They had 10 children, 6 surviving:
Sarah Ann (Mrs. Porter),
Gertrude (Mrs. Bell),
Walter (d. young),
George Drury,
Harry Leroy,
Susan Tabitha (Mrs. Kay),
Lyle Leslie,
and 3 others.
Bryan was a Lt. in the 24th Regiment, 6th Company, of the Canadian militia in 1866.
They had moved to Henry county, Illinois by about 1870, and except for a brief period in the mid 1880's in the Dakota Territory, lived their remaining lives there in Atkinson...
