Homer Richard was the son of Bernard Richard & Azelia Lavergne & the husband of Louise Courville. Homer died during a tornado. As the tornado began to destroy their home, Louise and her children ran outside and held on to a large tree in the front yard. Homer refused to leave the house and was later found in a cotton field about 100 yds from where his house once stood. He died in route to the hospital.
