Services for Nancy Key, 74, of Slaton and formerly of Morton will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in Slaton's First United Methodist Church with Reverends Jo Gay and Steve Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Cochran County Cemetery and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Nancy was born April 14, 1936 in Lingo, N.M. She moved to Morton as a child and graduated from Morton High School in 1954. Nancy married Robbie Key on May 23, 1954 in Morton. She was preceded in death by Robbie on December 23, 2002. Nancy retired as Librarian Director of Cochran County Library after 25 years of service. Nancy moved to Slaton in 2003.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Schelle Pugh in 1989 and by three brothers and three sisters.
Her survivors include her daughter, Kim Balch of Slaton; sons, Larry and wife Terri Key of Lubbock and Kevin and wife MargeAnne Key of Richland Hills; grandchildren, Nancy and husband Ross Parker, Dallas Key, Levi Balch, Madison Balch, Taylor Key, Katie Key, Ethan Key and Abigail Key.
