David Melvin Flitton "Gone Fishing" David Melvin Flitton, 72, died due to a long-term illness November 28, 2003 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born May 15 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah a son of Curtis Monroe Flitton and Luella Rawson Flitton gone to join his wife, Georgia Loise Christenson Flitton. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. Most of all, fishing was his favorite hobby. He also enjoyed being with his family and friends and camping with his children and grandchildren was his inspiration for living. David is survived by three sons and three daughters, Lola (Aaron) Ames, Ida (Robert) Darling, Michael (Carrie), Ronald (Vicki), Wendy (David) Wilson, Edward Thompson Flitton, all of Salt Lake City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five brothers, Willford, Ralph, Ronald, Richard, Harold; and two sisters, Charlotte and Merrill. Preceded in death by both parents; his wife, Georgia; two sons, Billy David and David Melvin, Jr.; and brother, Jack Flitton. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, December 2, 2003 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening or 10:45–11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. The Family wishes to thank the University Dialysis Staff for treating Dave with kindness. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
