Mrs. Catharine Hoeflich, widow of the late David Hoeflich, died at noon yesterday at her late home on East Main street. She was aged 85 years, 1 month and 4 days. Death was caused by an attack of pleuro-pneumonia, by which she was stricken Saturday last. Although advanced in years she had enjoyed exceptionally good health up until the date of this final sickness.

Mrs. Hoeflich was a daughter of the late David Adams, who, at the time of her birth, lived on the Frantz farm, about one mile west of town. Her entire life time has been spent in and about Waynesboro, where she has lived with her family, being held in the highest esteem by a large circle of friends. When a young girl she united with the German Baptist Brethren church, continuing a consistent and faithful member until her death.

The children are living David, Jr. , Mrs. Clara B. Stoner, Miss Susan C. and Mrs. Samantha Smith, all of this place. Mr. David Adams, a brother of this place is the only surviving member of her own family. Funeral services will be conducted at the house tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock by Elder Jacob Snider and Rev. J. B. Ruthrauff.
