Robert Walter Payne, 48, died Sunday (November 29, 1970) at a Georgetown hospital.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morris Funeral Chapel in Hemingway. Burial will be in Andrews Memorial Cemetery in Andrews.
Mr. Payne was born in Andrews, a son of Mrs. Lillian Nesmith Payne and the late Albert H. Payne. He was a veteran of World War Ii and was employed at International Pulp and Paper Mil for 22 years.
Surviving are: his mother, his widow, Mrs. Mary Nell Baxley Payne; one son, Robert W. Payne Jr. of Andrews; one daughter, Miss Linda Gail Payne of Andrews; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel P. Tobin of Owensboro, Ky., and Mrs. Bessie P. Hilliard of Andrews; and one brother, Bert Payne of Charleston.
