She married Walter G. Carter near Roswell, N.M. in 1908.
She made her home on a farm near Cowden for 32 years, and had lived with a daughter in Eakly the past three years. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son.
Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Olga Shepherd of Eakly; one son, N.G. Carter of Sentinel; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Bynum of Plainview, TX, and Vernon Bynum of Fort Worth; and three sisters, Mrs. Tressa Grimes of Altus, Mrs. Stella Womack of Tulare, CA and Mrs. Vera Hayes of Los Angeles, CA.
