After his father, Andrew Jackson, died in 1891, his mother, Texanna, married John Clifford on 11 Jan 1895. Texanna died on 29 April 1895, leaving John Clifford with her 5 children. He didn't want to raise the children so they were separated and lived with various family members.
Henry Columbus lived with his paternal grandmother Levinia Prewitt Freeman Andrews Smith and her husband Francis Oliver Smith until he married.
He married Lillie Jane Brock on 16 Nov 1904. They had four sons,Andrew Jackson, Archie, Thomas Oran and David Crockett. It is told that Lillie died in childbirth. She died 19 Sep 1913.
Henry married Sarah Margaret Breazeale Allen on 9 Sep 1914. They had three sons, James Avery, H.C. Jr.(initials only), Willie Mae (Bill), two daughters, Etta Elizabeth and Ruby Lee. Margaret had a son from a previous marriage, William Hice Allen.
Henry was a farmer and later helped his son, Oran, in the logging business. He had a stroke and was in a wheel chair for a number of years. He was a kind, loving, father and grandfather and great-grandfather.
Two additional sons have been found born to Henry Columbus Andrews, James E Andrews and Rodel Andrews (June 6, 2014)
