Thomas Ramsey Jr. was born in Dec. of 1788 in Springhill Twp., Fayette County, Pa to Thomas Ramsey and Mary Elizabeth Cross. Thomas never married. He served in the War of 1812. He was a 2nd Lt. of 1st Troop Cavalry, attached to 90th Regiment PA militia, 2nd Brigade 13th Div, on a payroll of 12 month volunteers, PA Light Dragoons. He owned 430-3/4 acres in Wharton Twp., Fayette County, Pa, called "Ramsay's Delight". He was killed in War on March 24, 1813, and is buried in Lebanon, Ohio.Member of the McClelland Light Dragoons
