Graveside services for Verna Dortch Cosby, 88, of West Monroe will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia.
Mrs. Cosby was born in Caldwell Parish on March 28, 1913 to the union of O'Bandel and Lela Dortch and died Sunday, November 25, 2001 at the Landmark Nursing Center in West Monroe.
She was a homemaker and a retired cashier at the Airport Coffee Shop in Monroe. She was a member of the Church of God. She was preceded in death by her sons: Roy Dean Cosby and Bobby Joe Cosby.
Survivors include her daughter: Carolyn Simmons of West Monroe; her son: Ronnie Cosby of Ruston; her son: Danny Cosby of Tennessee; her sister, Carrie Caldwell of Columbia; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon until time of services.

Funeral services for Verna Dortch Cosby were held Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at the Riser & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Columbia. Her son, Ronnie Cosby, gave the eulogy. Interment followed at the Fellowship Cemetery west of Columbia.
