Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of the Corning mortuary for James Emert Seavers, resident of the Corning area for 53 years, who died at his home on the Kirkwood road Tuesday. Born February 2, 1854 in Terre Haute, Ind., Seavers arrived in California 67 years ago.
He is survived by two sons and four daughters: Herbert Seavers of Kirkwood and Albert Seavers, Vallejo, Mrs. Caroline O'Connell, Stockton, Mrs. Geneva Frautschi, Mrs. Ann Stover, both of Kirkwood and Mrs. Alice Stevens of Oakland.
