WILLIAM MONTGOMERY RITES HELD SATURDAY.
William E. Montgomery of 709 Missouri Street, Esther died April 21 [1966] at the Bonne Terre Hospital. He was born November 15, 1882 [in Perry County, Mo.,] the son of the late Joshua MONTGOMERY and Sarah Hahn MONTGOMERY.
Surviving are his wife, Lizzie LaPlant MONTGOMERY of Esther; three children, Irene of Esther, Howard L., of Arnold; Robert L., Victoria, Texas; two brothers, Harvey and Everett both of Flat River; four sisters, Emma (Mrs. William Dalton) of Desloge, Iva (Mrs. William McFarland) of River Rouge, Michigan; Effie Whitehead and Maude Gallagher both of Flat River.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in the chapel. The Rev. Oren Mills officiated with Rev. Thurman Hughes assisting. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.
