Emma Catherine Dalton of 303 Monroe, Desloge, died Feb 19, 1970 at age 85 years, nine months, and 15 days. She was born May 4, 1884, at Perry Co., MO, a daughter of the late Joshua Wilson Montgomery and Sarah Catherine Hahn.

She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Dalton in 1936, also preceded by one daughter Grace and a son Tillman.

Surviving are five children: Ruth (Mrs. Thomas Whelen) of Desloge, Bertha (Mrs. Bert Jenkins) of San Diego, CA, Bernice (Mrs. Bill Wheeler) S. Pasadena, CA, Golda (Mrs. Odeal Thompson) of Waterloo, IL, and Glenwood Dalton of Viburnum; three sisters, Effie Whitehead and Maude Gallagher both of Flat River, and Iva McFarland of Ecorse, MI; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Flat River Church of Christ where services were conducted Sunday, February 22, at 2pm with Evangelist Bernie Crum officiating. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Leadington, under the direction of Murphy L. Sparks, Flat River.
