Funeral for Rosa Nell Stacks Thomas, 85, of Hartselle will be Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Dr. Jeff Redmond officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Thomas, who died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Sept. 2, 1919, in Morgan County to Charles Thomas Stacks and Annie King Stacks. She retired as an accountant with Federal Housing after 27 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hartselle. Mrs. Thomas, along with her husband, Jack H. Thomas, founded Thomas Stables, Inc.

Survivors include one son, Jack Harding Thomas Jr. of Hartselle; one daughter, Jacquelyn Thomas Bowman of Hartselle; one brother, Fred E. Stacks of Hartselle; and one granddaughter, Katie Rose Bowman of Hartselle.

Pallbearers will be Fred Stacks Jr., Tony Tyler, Joe Howell, Jim Tilley, Charles Quinn, J.E. Peck, David Blankenship and Bill Hart.
