Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville for Paul W. Mattingly, 68, of Crainville. Entombment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville.
Friends may call from 6 to p p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Mattingly died Monday, July 26, 1982, at Mount Vernon Hospital.
He was a retired construction laborer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Fist Baptist Church in Carterville.
He was born Jan. 30, 1914, in Crainville, to Ivoe and Cornelia Emery Mattingly.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Wemmer; three daughters, Pat Forbes and June Myers, both of Crainville and Hazel Leibeck of California; three sisters, June Burris of Energy, Nell Berry of Marion and Margaret Hayes of Chicago; two brothers, George Mattingly of Hot Springs, Ark., and John Mattingly of Dawson Springs, Ky.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
