Died Monday, Dec. 31, 1979, in Huntsville, Texas. She was 86, a native of Hoods Mill, a 20-year resident of Huntsville, and former resident of Baton Rouge for 30 years. She was a retired cafeteria manager for LSU. Visiting at Rabenhorst, 825 Government St., from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and after 8 a.m. Wednesday. Religious services at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.
Survived by her husband, L. E. Burton; son, Dr. John Robert Burton, both of Huntsville; two brothers, Morris Hearne, Monroe, and Dwight Hearne, Baton Rouge; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She was a former member of University Methodist Church. Her husband also retired from LSU.
