[Per Essie Spence Goad's notes via Edwin Goad]: " Julia Ann Turman Spence was the daughter of George Hylton and Elizabeth Sutphin Turman, and a sister to Mahala Turman Spence (wife of Johnson Minter Spence)". [She was married to John Carroll Spence, brother of Johnson Minter...so brothers married sisters, and their children were double first cousins].
[Per Edgar Hugh "Hugo" Goad]: "There was a large pine tree which we removed in the late 1940s (to the north side of John Carroll's grave). Thats why Julia was buried in the back row, plus he was married twice after their divorce."
