SHREVEPORT – Services for Mr. Hugh Aleck Sparke, 87, of Shreveport, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday March 2 at the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. Father William C. O'Hanlon will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Sparke, a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, died died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 29, 1984, at Doctor's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the founder of the H. A. Sparke, Inc. Mr. Sparke was a longtime member of the Elks Local No. 122.
He is survived by a daughter, Miss Martha Sparke, a son, Richard Sparke, and a granddaughter, Anna Maria Sparke, of Shreveport; a brother, W. P. Sparke of Las Vegas, Nevada; a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers: James Sparke, Sr., John S. Holt, Jr., G. A. Hawkins, J. A. LeDoux, James Foster and James R. Barbee.
