Mrs. Clark, 91, Dies in Houston
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Liza Clark, 91, a lifelong resident of Chickasaw county who died at 9 am, Monday, Jan. 27, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Alford in Houston, were conducted from the Houston Funeral Home Chapel at 2 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 28.
The Rev. Malcolm Jones officiated. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased.
Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 12, 1878, the daughter of the late Benjamin Hitchcock and Mary Brown Hitchcock. She was a Baptist.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. John Alford, Mrs. H P Walters, Mrs. Estell Alford, and Mrs. Everette Smith, all of Houston, and Mrs. W G Henley of Isola, Miss. Forty-nine grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren also survive.
