Mrs. Husie Clark Walters

Mrs. Husie Clark Walters, 79, of Houston, died Monday, Sept 22, at the Houston Community Hospital. She was a retired housewife and a member of the Thorn Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held at the Houston Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Oren Vance and the Rev. James Cannon officiating. Burial was at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Walters was a native of Chickasaw County and the daughter of Louis Clark and Mrs. Annie Hitchcock Clark. She was married to the late Henry Walters.

Survivors include three sons, Haskell Walters of Houston, Van Walters and Rufus Walters, both of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Smith of Houston and Mrs. Florence Henley of Isola, Mississippi. Ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Malcolm Walters, Leon Walters, Rad Walters, Sam Smith, John Henley and Kenneth Pettit.
