LENNA KRINER, 80, DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Novinger Woman's Funeral Planned For Monday
Mrs. Lenna Leota Kriner, 80 years old, of Novinger, died Saturday afternoon at 5:30 in a Kirksville nursing home following a long illness. She had been in failing health for the past five years after breaking her hip in a fall.
Born Oct. 26, 1879, at Novinger, she lived all of her life in Adair county.
Surviving are two sons, Erna Kriner, Washington, Ia., and Leland Kriner, Bloomfield, Ia.; a daughter, Mrs. Grace Jones, Novinger; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Meshke of Portland, Ore.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Kriner, in 1945, and her parents, William H. and Rachel (Bozarth) Swisher.
She was a member of the Methodist church of Novinger and the Novinger WCTU.
Funeral services tentatively have been scheduled for Monday afternoon at the Funeral Home of Davis & Davis, with burial in Novinger cemetery.
