Funeral Services were held
Monday Morning At

Mrs. Venie Turner, 76, a well-known woman of Minden, died at her home here Saturday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock after several weeks of serious illness. Because of her age and her health condition, Mrs. Turner's death was not unexpected. She was a long time resident of this parish.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the home, with the Rev. H.E. Kirkpatrick, pastor of the Baptist church officiating. Burial was in the Minden cemetery under the direction of the Butler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Turner was a well known woman in this section of the state. She was born August 19, 1857 in Claiborne parish. She was a member of the Christian church and was active until she suffered bad health.
The deceased is survived by six sons; Everett, Dee, Guy and Ernest Youngblood of Minden and Larkin B. and Elmer Turner, also of Minden. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were; Walter Dean, Troupe Toadvin, W.C. Sugg, John Garland, Dave Moseley and Rollin Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were; H.L. Bridges, Connell Fort, Lovic P. Wren, Tom Campbell, E.S. Richardson, George Channell, A.H. Phillips, O.H. Haynes and Robert A. Baker.
