Mr. Elbert Springs Montgomery, Aged 23 Years, Passes Away.

Mr. Elbert Springs Montgomery, a son of Mrs. Virginia Montgomery, who lives at 415 North Graham street, passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:50 o'clock in Asheville where he had been for some time. Mr. Montgomery was 23 years of age and in addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers and two sisters, namely Messrs. Oscar W. and Clyde P. Montgomery of this city, Wade A. Montgomery of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. A. S. Cureton of Charleston, W. Va, and Mrs. R. N. Ward of Columbia, S. C. No funeral arrangements have yet been made but it will probably be held tomorrow in this city. Mr. Montgomery was brought up in the Presbyterian Church and was greatly beloved by all who knew him. He was a manly young fellow, generous and devoted to all those who claimed him for a friend. His death will be quite a shock to many.
