Gleanings from Files of the Democrat
By B. G. Seamans, 1893
Louis Woods, son of W. M. Woods, who had gone to Arcadia, Neb. to visit his grandfather, David Bennett, sent back a poem which began
"I am going out West,
Just when I think best,
To grow up with the country, you know;
Out on the prairie,
Away from the dairy,
Where the cyclone and the hurricane blow."
